Description

For the Cheesecake Swirl:
8 oz cream cheese, softened
⅓ cup granulated sugar
1 large egg, room temperature

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter and sugar until glossy.
3. Add eggs, vanilla, and red food coloring; whisk until combined.
4. Fold in flour, cocoa powder, and salt until no streaks remain.
5. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, and egg until smooth.
6. Pour most of the red velvet batter into the pan, dollop cheesecake mixture on top, then swirl gently.
7. Bake for 30–35 minutes, until set but slightly soft in the center.
8. Cool completely before slicing for neat edges and the best texture.

Notes

Bring all ingredients to room temperature for a smoother swirl.
Chill before slicing for perfect layers.
